I agree with your statements in the article as many people who are in programming and other professions can learn from these terrible mistakes made by young programmers. Additionally, I understand why that programmer in your article faced termination so quickly… that programmer got what they deserved. Here is something I always think about, lets say…you have an honest person whom is getting terminated because it just did not workout, my question then is… How fair is it for companies to layoff or fire people with no notice then turn around and want 2-3 months notice in advance when you leave? Sounds hypocritical to me. However, please note, I’m referring to companies who follow this practice. This is not referring to companies who do practice the right things. I do believe it is your duty to be honest and upfront with companies and to let them know that you are leaving in a timely manner that respect the company whom which you are employed. However, all be honest, some companies do not practice doing the right things to..fair, good and honest hard working people… it does not matter what profession you are in, it happens all the time in corporate America unfortunately.
